Kelly is originally from Queens, NY, and has spent most of her life in NY. She graduated from New York University in 2005 with a masters in occupational therapy. She has 14 years of experience as an occupational therapist with 12.5 of those years in pediatrics from birth to 21 years old. Kelly has experience in various settings including in-patient rehabilitation, pediatric intensive care unit, early intervention, outpatient, and preschool. Kelly performed pediatric homecare services for 11 years both privately and through an agency. She also administered evaluations for school systems in both charter schools and through the Department of Education.
Kelly has treated many diagnoses including developmental delays, traumatic brain injuries, various genetic conditions, physical disabilities, cognitive impairment, visual impairment, autism, ADHD, fine motor delays, stroke, orthopedics, feeding issues, and many more! She understands the importance of working closely with speech therapists, physical therapists and families and feels very strongly that a team approach is the best way to formulate a child’s goals and to address his/her individual needs.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, traveling, going to the beach and running races. She ran the NYC full marathon 5 years in a row from 2014-2018 and her best time was 3:56! For the last two years, she worked in south Florida and has recently relocated to Raleigh. She is excited to explore North Carolina and is looking forward to her future here and seeing what NC has to offer.
