Occupational Therapist

Casey has worked in pediatrics for 7 years, evaluating and treating children in their natural environment, schools, daycares and outpatient clinics. Working with children of various ages and diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder, down syndrome, attention-deficit hyperactive disorder, failure to thrive, medically complex (feeding tube, tracheostomy), feeding difficulties, sensory processing disorders, neurological disorders, cerebral palsy, genetic/chromosomal disorders, and global developmental delays. Additionally, she has experience using augmentative communication devices and orthotics. Casey has experience collaborating with speech language pathologists, physical therapists, teachers and families to ensure clients reach their goals.

Casey graduated as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in 2017 where she started her career in Miami, Florida. She decided to get her Master’s degree to become an Occupational Therapist and graduated cum laude in 2020. Casey moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where she worked in an outpatient pediatric clinic treating children ages 1 and up. In her 7 years and fieldwork experience, she has worked in various settings including subacute rehab, skilled nursing facility, orthopedics, pediatric home health, and pediatric outpatient clinics. Casey pursued continuing education and became an SOS feeding approach certified practitioner in 2022, treating children with sensory and oral motor disorders. Casey is passionate about working in the pediatric setting, helping clients and families meet their goals by first establishing a strong rapport through child-centered play while supporting a child’s autonomy. Casey recently moved to Apex, NC, and is looking forward to new adventures and exploring the city.

In her spare time, Casey enjoys spending time with her dog and cats, traveling, crafting, and baking.
