Rachelle has pediatric experience in various settings and has worked with children from a variety of backgrounds including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Developmental Delay, Fine Motor Delay, Handwriting difficulties, Sensory Processing Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Attention Deficit Disorder, a variety of genetic/chromosomal disorders and more. Rachelle has experience collaborating with a multitude of professionals related to each child’s care including speech language pathologists, physical therapists, teachers, pediatricians, developmental therapists, etc.

Rachelle graduated from OT school at the University of Florida in Gainesville following internships working with adults with spinal cord injuries at the James A. Haley Veteran’s Hospital and children with disabilities and/or injuries/illnesses/developmental delays at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital within their inpatient and outpatient settings in Tampa, Florida. Shortly after graduating, she began working for a multidisciplinary outpatient pediatric clinic in Gainesville, Florida where she worked with children with a variety of backgrounds and needs from birth to 18 years old and collaborated with other health professionals for 2.5 years. She has worked with children focusing on sensory processing skills, fine and gross motor skills, activities of daily living/self-help skills, attention/self-regulation and executive functioning difficulties, as well as sensory-based challenges related to feeding. Rachelle is passionate about occupational therapy as a holistic profession that looks at the whole child and enjoys helping children reach their full potential in order to meaningfully participate in their daily lives. Rachelle believes in the importance of building strong connections with each child and family that she works with in order to work together to overcome challenges and difficulties that they may face. Rachelle recently moved to Cary, North Carolina in early 2022 where she began to work in early intervention within the natural environment. She looks forward to working with you and your child!
