Occupational Therapist
Sharon Lilly has over 25 years of experience as a pediatric OT! Her career has taken her across the country and is now a licensed occupational therapist in North Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Michigan University.
Sharon started her OT career in the school system in Michigan and continued working for the schools once she moved to Florida. She and her husband then moved to North Carolina to raise their two children and then at that time she shifted her career to treating kids in a pediatric clinic.
Over the years, she also worked at the Governor Moorhead School for the Blind servicing children aged 1 to 21 where she provided therapy services to visually impaired and multi-handicapped students. She was also an OT for Wake County Public Schools for many years while working with young children including pre-school aged children. Sharon served on a preschool team assessing 3 and 4 year olds while providing itinerant services to preschool children in their daycares and private homes.
She has an extensive background and provides training seminars in motor development, sensory processing, and handwriting! Throughout her career she has worked with children who have developmental delays, physical disabilities, cognitive impairment, ADHD, sensory-processing differences, fine motor delays, visually impaired, multi-handicapped, learning disabilities, Autism, Down syndrome and many more diagnoses. She has a great deal of experience working with young children and strongly believes in early intervention.
