Halle, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
Halle has been working as an occupational therapist for five years, with the majority of her experience focused on pediatrics, as this is her passion. She has experience working with children with developmental delays, sensory processing, attention challenges, emotional regulation needs, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, fine motor delays, etc. Halle values a collaborative approach to therapy and enjoys partnering with families, educators, speech therapists, physical therapists, and other professionals to help children achieve meaningful goals.
Halle earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville before completing her Master of Occupational Therapy at Towson University in Maryland. Most recently, Halle moved from New York City to North Carolina and is excited to put down roots and call NC home. Halle’s passion for pediatrics has been apparent since childhood, though her call to occupational therapy was discovered in college as she majored in Therapeutic Recreation. The University of Tennessee has a special program for children ages 7-21 with all disabilities and delays. During her time in graduate school, Halle worked as a special care assistant for a young boy with autism, augmenting in-school therapy sessions targeting areas of growth and ADLs.
Throughout her career, Halle has worked in both outpatient clinic and preschool settings, as well as inpatient psychiatry, giving her a unique perspective on supporting children across a variety of environments. In addition to her school-based role in NYC, she has continued treating children in an afterschool outpatient pediatric clinic, allowing her to maintain experience with a wide range of diagnoses and therapeutic approaches.
Halle believes that the best therapy happens when children feel engaged, supported, and free to be themselves. She enjoys creating individualized treatment sessions that incorporate play, creativity, movement, and each child’s unique interests. Her favorite part of being an OT is building strong relationships with children and families while celebrating the small moments that lead to big progress.
She loves finding new adventures and checking things off her bucket list, whether that means discovering a local coffee shop, trying a new restaurant, or enjoying any type of sports game. The most recent accomplishment on her bucket list was getting married and completing the 2025 Chicago Marathon!
