Alexis H., MS, CCC-SLP

Alexis is a compassionate speech-language pathologist dedicated to helping children develop meaningful communication skills. She has experience working with children with autism, developmental delays, language disorders, speech sound disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome. Alexis enjoys creating engaging, play-based therapy activities tailored to each child while collaborating with caregivers and other professionals. She is passionate about helping children build confidence and find their voice.

Alexis was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to serve children and families in Atlanta and Charlotte across a variety of settings, including homes, daycares, ABA centers, schools, and private practice. Her clinical experience includes supporting early language development, social/pragmatic skills, functional communication, speech sound development, and AAC.

Alexis takes a child-centered, play-based approach to therapy and enjoys creating activities that incorporate each child’s interests, strengths, and individual needs. She believes that building strong relationships with children and families is an important part of creating meaningful progress and values collaboration with caregivers and other professionals to support carryover across everyday environments.

Now back home in Raleigh, Alexis is excited to serve children and families in her community. Outside of speech therapy, she enjoys watching movies, reading, exploring new places and restaurants, and spending time with family and friends. Alexis is eager to continue growing as a clinician while making a positive impact in the lives of the children and families she serves.
