Maggy, MS, CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Maggy is an adaptable, compassionate, and approachable therapist committed to serving the pediatric population. She has experience treating patients with conditions such as developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, Mowat-Wilson Syndrome, 18-P syndrome, childhood apraxia of speech, dysarthria, tethered oral tissues, dysphagia, and cleft lip and palate. She is dedicated to providing patient-centered care through play-based therapy and strong parent involvement to promote effective carryover beyond the therapy setting.

Maggy, an Iowa native, developed a passion for working with children early on through childcare and respite care, supporting both typically developing children and those with disabilities. Her interest in speech-language pathology grew while working in an interdisciplinary pediatric therapy clinic, where she gained insight into the impact of therapy and the importance of family involvement and caregiver communication. She has over 10 years of experience in an interdisciplinary outpatient pediatric setting. While completing her undergraduate and graduate studies, Maggy worked as a speech-language pathologist Assistant alongside occupational and physical therapists, gaining extensive clinical experience with children with autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, developmental delays, and speech sound disorders. She also completed externships in preschool and skilled nursing settings, working with individuals across the lifespan. After graduate school, Maggy continued working in outpatient care with a holistic, team-based approach. For the past four years, she has managed a caseload of infants and young children, specializing in feeding and communication, including bottle aversion, transitioning from tube to oral feeds and from bottle to solids, pre- and post-operative care for tongue and lip ties, oral motor skill development for safe feeding, AAC use, language development, and improving speech intelligibility.

Maggy is dedicated to meeting patients where they are, providing individualized, compassionate care tailored to each child’s unique needs. She is committed to delivering thorough, evidence-based education to caregivers and collaborating effectively with other providers to support meaningful progress and long-term success.
